ABOUT US
At Y-City Telemedicine, we understand that your health is your most valuable asset. Our Nurse Practitioner, Abby Harlan Guirguis, offers personalized care that is tailored to your unique needs.
Throughout many years working in the Urgent Care setting, Abby witnessed the struggles that patients face in traditional healthcare clinics. This includes long wait times, expensive fees, contaminated waiting rooms, and rushed care. She made it her mission to create a more convenient patient experience, which is fast, convenient, affordable and thorough.
Abby launched her independent healthcare practice in 2022, Abby Guirguis, APRN-CNP, LLC, doing business as “Tropical Telemedicine” in the state of Florida. Soon she had a loyal following of residents and vacationers who turned to her for their everyday healthcare needs. In 2025, Abby set up “Y-City Telemedicine” as an entity of her practice, in order to serve her home state, where she maintains licensure.

MEET ABBY: FOUNDER AND NURSE PRACTITIONER
Abby was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio. She earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing at the University Cincinnati College of Nursing in 2011, and her graduate degree at the Ohio State University College of Nursing in 2016.
She holds 14 years of Nursing experience, and has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 9 years now. She worked in both surgical and Urgent Care settings over the course of that time, with most of her advanced practice career spent in Urgent Care. She has been trained by some of the nation’s leading physicians at the Ohio State University and Cleveland Clinic. She has worked at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and its ambulatory clinics, Cleveland Clinic, Wellnow Urgent Care and Sarasota Memorial Urgent Care, prior to starting her own practice in 2022. She also has experience as a Clinical Instructor and Preceptor to graduate nursing students.
Aside from healthcare, Abby enjoys cooking, boating, traveling, and running. She loves dogs and loves spending time with her goofy Golden Retriever (Griffin) who follows her everywhere. She is wife to Dr. Amir Guirguis DDS, and stepmom to a cute little 9-year old (Katie) and Goldendoodle (Annie).
